Is Your Silicone Stud a Dud?

What happens when you don't like the sex toy you just bought? Most companies won't take them back. We will. Here's why.

There is possibly no consumer purchase more disappointing than a sex toy that's not for you. You're vulnerable, or turned on, or turned on AND vulnerable, ready to try something new annnnnd.... BOO.

It's too big. It's too small. Too strong. Too smooth. Too much. When it comes to sex toys, we are all Goldilocks. (Goldicocks? I digress.) So what do we do about it? We keep trying! Who do they think we are? A bunch of quitters? No! We paid good money and we want our orgasm! Several minutes (hours? days?) later, we end up sore/bored and definitely burned about having spent money on what is now a highly questionable paperweight.

There are also the lower-income folks (artists, students, people with disabilities, the working poor) who want to buy quality toys made from body safe materials. For someone in this position (and I count myself among them), buying a new vibrator or dildo is a once-a-year special occasion.

It's not just the wasted money that's frustrating, it's the feeling of the failure. One woman told me a story about a hot new lover, a new toy and their frustrating experience, which she now refers to as the Night of a Thousand Disappointments. YIKES!

We can all snigger and snort about the embarrassment of returning a sex toy, (and yeah, ok it is pretty funny) but you know what? The frustration is real. For some folks, these aren't just 'toys', they are necessary tools for sexual fulfillment.

When I decided to start Mojo Emporium, accessibility was my number one value. I was convinced that there had to be some way to offer an opportunity to recoup some of the value from a disappointing purchase. That’s why I came up with the Try-Again Guarantee. If you don’t love your purchase, just let me know and I’ll do my very best to make it better. At the very least, we'll give you a 50% credit, and beyond that, sometimes I can create or source an adaptation that solves the issue. Whatever suits your needs best.

I got into this business because I love solving challenges in unique ways, and I would love to put my thinking cap on to help you have the best possible sex toy buying (and using) experience.

Do you have a frustrating story to share? Some toy in your collection that you can't make work? Maybe I can help. Email me!
